Anita Cereceda Ms. Cereceda served as the first mayor of the Town of Fort Myers Beach and served in that position for three years. She was elected to Seat #3 on the first Town Council in 1995 and reelected for a second three-year term in December 1998. Ms. Cereceda represents the Town as a member of the Tourist Development Council, The Coastal Advisory Council, Horizon Council for Economic Development, the Chamber Traffic Committee and the Drug Free Coalition of Lee County. She is also a member of the Women’s Political Caucus of Lee County. As a member of the Town Council, her areas of subject responsibility are business, tourism, public relations and the arts.
