Town Council The Town Council consists of five Council members and is vested with all of the legislative powers of the Town. They elect from their membership a Mayor and a Vice Mayor; and appoint a Town Manager to run the Town. Council members are elected officials who are accountable at regularly held elections for the policies which the citizens desire to have implemented in the government of the Town. Policy making is the sole prerogative of the Council and legislative and police powers of Town are vested in the Council except as otherwise provided by law.
