Garr Reynolds
Garr holds Seat # 2 on the Town Council and his seat focus is on Land Use, planning, zoning, Times Square and Budget.
Garr has been a member or director of the following community
organizations since coming to live full-time on Fort Myers Beach:
- San Carlos Bay U. S. Power Squadron
- Fort Myers Beach Civic Association
- Fort Myers Beach Incorporation Committee
- Budget Workshop Committee of the Fort Myers Beach Fire
District.
Married 43 years, he and his wife Regina have two grown
children. They have visited Fort Myers Beach since 1960 and have
been full-time residents for ten years.
Garr graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Elementary and Secondary Education and a Master
of Arts degree in Elementary and Secondary Supervision and
Administration. He has done additional graduate work at the
University of Cincinnati and Miami University. Garr served in the
U. S. Air Force and is retired from the Cincinnati Public School
System where he served as a teacher and administrator. He is a
member of the Masonic and Scottish Rite, a life member of the VFW
Post #10097 , a life member of the National Educational
Association, and served as Institutional Representative and
Leader for the Boy Scouts of America.
