Marsha Segal-George
Marsha has served as Town Manager since April 1996, being the first full-time Town
Manager since the Town of Fort Myers Beach's incorporation. Marsha is the
chief administrative officer of the town and implements and administers all ordinances,
resolutions and policies adopted by the Town Council. She keeps the
council fully advised as to the condition and future needs of the town and makes written
recommendations to the council concerning the affairs of the town. Marsha also performs
the duties of town clerk in addition to the duties of town manager and serves as legal
counsel to the Town's Local Planning Agency.
Marsha is an attorney and is licensed to practice in Florida and before the U. S.
Supreme Court. Prior to assuming her position as Town Manager, she had a private law
practice in Jacksonville, Florida and before that was County Administrator for Lee County.
Marsha also has experience in county administration and municipal and county legal
departments in Colorado and Indiana.
Marsha has served on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Lee County and the
Board of Directors of the Drug Free Coalition of Lee County. Marsha has been a member of
the following organizations:

A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Marsha graduated from Indiana University with a B.A.
degree in History and Political Science and a Juris Doctorate degree. Marsha and her
husband, Kevin, have a son and daughter and live on Fort Myers Beach.
