To proactively examine all matters affecting the safety of the public within the confines of the land and waters of the town of Fort Myers Beach and to make recommendations to the Town Council as appropriate. Update 2002: The Public Safety Task Force continues to use the Safety Surveys that were completed by the residences at the last election. Information such as traffic, noise and curfews are subjects that the voters wanted to be looked into. Currently, the PSTF is working on cross walk lighting, cruising ordinance, possibility of a curfew ordinance, and a parasailing ordinance. The PSTF meets the first Tuesday of each month, at 7:00 p.m., Town Hall. The public is always welcomed to attend. Click here for the November 2000 Survey. Click here for the 1998 Survey results. |
